Tony Giles, totally blind and 80% deaf in both ears travels the world solo. He also had a successful kidney transplant in December 2008. Yet he has visited the World’s Seven continents, all fifty states of the USA, crossed the Arctic Circle, traveled every South American country and visited all ten Canadian provinces. He has written several books about his world adventures. The books are travel diaries of the observations and experiences of a blind man as he travels around the world.
Nico is an America expat that has tried living in several countries, drawn to the immigrant lifestyle and experience of being ‘not from here’. He came up in the world of foreign languages and lived in Europe before giving in full time to newspaper reporting. After layoffs and reductions, He realized this profession was doomed and started Nico Tours, a fully loaded, adventure tour outfit in Santiago, Chile that allowed tourists to follow him and Mino around the Andes Mountains. After Chile, he moved to Ethiopia and then Liberia, and in these places he increased his focus on writing, documenting and ultimately storytelling. He is currently in Colombia.
